An Enterprising Week
During this week long celebration of enterprise, pupils will go through the stages of developing a product from initial conception right through to production, marketing and sales. Scenarios include; ‘A Choctastic Week’, ‘Smooth as you like’ and ‘Put a cap on it’. . . Giant Minds invite entrepreneurs from the local business community to judge The Grand Final on the Friday and offer support and inspiration to all.
An Enterprising week is an excellent way for schools to meet their curriculum requirements. Giant Minds provide detailed lesson plans for teachers and a timetable which can be made to match your school day. Pupils attend lessons in their tutorial groups and work in teams of 6 to develop a product and a portfolio.
Giant Minds recognise that professional development of school staff is as important as getting outside facilitators to fulfil enterprise commitments. An Enterprising Week combines facilitator expertise with genuinely interesting and interactive activities that integrate with the curriculum and are taught by teachers.
